How to have a Happy Family Christmas

-Decorate the Christmas tree, the crib and your home:
It's that time of the year when bling is in. Get out the ornaments, streamers, bells and the star, and adorn the Christmas tree.

-Send Christmas greetings to friends and family: Keep e-mails at bay, and pen down a word or two for your loved ones. There's nothing like receiving a personalised greeting card.

-Sing Christmas carols: It does not matter if you croak as long as you do it together. Bring in the holiday season with some festive cheer and a chorus of voices singing praises.

-Spend time with your grandparents: While they're on their rocking chair, sit by their side and hear their Christmas stories.

-Play 'Secret Santa': If you belong to a joint family, make chits and pick names playing 'Secret Santa'. Try not to burst the bubble until Christmas night.

-Go for mass together: Celebrate Christmas the traditional way. Attend the midnight mass with your family in church. n After mass, gather round the Christmas tree and unwrap your gifts: Everyone loves presents. So make a beeline for the tree and rummage through the pile to know what is in store for you.

-Help your mom prepare the Christmas meal: Be it applying butter on the baking dish or garnishing the Christmas pudding, there is always something for everyone to do. Volunteer your services behind the kitchen counter to see that smile on your mom's face.

-Steal a kiss under the mistletoe: While you waltz to your favourite tune, make your way under the mistletoe and get romantic with your spouse.

-Don't forget the family picture: Capture these moments and make a Christmas album so you can remember times spent with family on Christmas.
